The government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region plans to issue renminbi-denominated green bonds to further strengthen Hong Kong's status as an offshore RMB hub and green financial center, Hong Kong Financial Secretary Paul Chan Mo-po wrote in his blog on the website of the SAR government on Nov. 21.

香港特区政府财政司司长陈茂波11月21日在特区政府网站发表网志表示，香港特区政府即将发行人民币绿色债券，以进一步强化香港作为离岸人民币枢纽和绿色金融中心的地位。

The move shows the SAR's strong promotion of green finance development, said analysts.

分析人士指出，此举显示了香港特区政府对绿色金融发展的大力推动。
