China's health literacy rate for traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) increased by 8 percent during the 13th Five-Year Plan period (2016-2020), according to a survey released by the National Administration of TCM.

国家中医药管理局近日发布的一项调查显示，在“十三五”期间(2016-2020年)，中国的中医药健康文化素养水平提高了8%。

The TCM literacy rate refers to the percentage of people with a basic understanding of the fundamental ideas, healthy lifestyle, therapy, cultural context, and information of TCM among the whole population.

中医药健康文化素养水平是指对中医药的基本理念、健康生活方式、疗法、文化背景、相关信息等有基本了解的人群在总人口中的百分比。
