On Oct 1, China Railway Guangzhou Group ushered in the peak of passenger flow during the National Day holiday, with an estimated 3.837 million passenger trips, an increase of 330,000 compared with the same period in 2025, up 9.4%, setting a new historical high for single-day passenger volume.

Guangzhou South Railway Station is expected to handle over 1 million passenger arrivals and departures, becoming the first railway station in China to exceed one million passenger arrivals and departures in a single day, setting a national railway station record for single-day arrivals and departures. Meanwhile, Guangzhou South Railway Station is expected to send 605,000 passengers, also refreshing its historical record for single-day passenger departures.
