The Guangzhou Little Petrel Children's Choir has been ranked world No. 1 in both the Children & Youth Choir category and the Folk Music category in INTERKULTUR's latest global rankings, updated on September 24. It also ranks seventh overall, making it the only Chinese children's choir to simultaneously top both categories and place in the global top 10.

Among more than 1,000 registered elite choirs worldwide, the Little Petrel has long remained in the world's top tier, cementing the leading position of Chinese children's choirs on the international stage.

The World Choir Games, organized by the INTERKULTUR International Cultural Foundation, is known as the "Olympics" of choral music—the largest, most prestigious and most authoritative event of its kind. Its results feed directly into the official global ranking system.

In August this year, the choir, affiliated with the Haizhu District Children's Palace in Guangzhou, won two championships at the 14th World Choir Games in Helsingborg, Sweden—in the C18 A Cappella Folk Music category and the C1 Children's Choir category. With polished vocals and a distinctive Eastern artistic expression, the choir earned high praise from international judges, showcasing the pinnacle of Chinese children's choral singing.
