A giant, luminous "planet" has begun lighting up the night sky along the Fuxu Ancient Canal (扶胥古运河) in Guangzhou's Huangpu District.

The 16-meter-diameter "Golden Fuxu Pearl (金胥明珠)" is the centerpiece of the upcoming cultural tourism project "Fuxu Twelve Hours," which is expected to open for trial operations in October.
