Guangzhou's GDP grew 5.8 percent year-on-year in the first half of 2026, according to data released by the Guangzhou Municipal Statistics Bureau on July 24, 2026. The city's GDP reached ¥1,604.5 billion yuan ($236.8 billion) during that period.
