On July 10, freight train X8120 departed from Guangzhou International Port, carrying 55 containers of air conditioners and other household appliances. The shipment will travel through Erenhot Port and head to Poland and other European countries.

The delivery comes as Europe bakes under extreme heat. France, Spain, Germany and other countries have seen temperatures approaching 40°C, with red heat alerts issued in many regions.

Behind the scenes, a "cooling corridor" from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area has been running at full speed. Between April and June 2026, China Railway Guangzhou Group shipped portable air conditioners and core components worth about $52 million via the China-Europe Railway Express — with over 100,000 complete units dispatched.

Train after train loaded with "Made in China" portable AC units races across the Eurasian continent from Guangzhou International Port, bringing much-needed cooling relief to European households.
