Mira Ahmed, a translator of modern and contemporary Chinese literature. No matter how many cities in China she has visited, Guangzhou has always held a special meaning for her, and she has always missed it deeply.

After learning in Egypt that she would be attending the 2026 International Youth Poetry Festival, she decided to write a special poem for Guangzhou.
