On May 4, the Prix Versailles, founded by UNESCO and the International Union of Architects (UIA), announced its 12th "World's Most Beautiful Museums" list. Only seven museums worldwide were selected. Guangzhou's Xuelei Fragrance Museum made the list as the only fragrance-themed museum in China to receive this honor. 

Alongside the Shenzhen Science & Technology Museum, they became the two Chinese museums selected this year—both located in Guangdong.
