ZXMOTO, a fully self-developed Chinese motorcycle brand, has taken the global motorsport spotlight with two dominant victories at the World Superbike Championship (WSBK) Portugal round on March 28–29, highlighting a little-known yet robust network of manufacturing champions including those from Guangdong that underpinned its race-winning performance.

Official figures show that Guangdong accounts for at least 30% of China's total motorcycle exports. And an industrial chain from the province has powered ZXMOTO's WSBK campaign, with its exhaust pipe, helmet, and engine cylinder made in Jiangmen, Guangdong and engine valve produced in the provincial capital Guangzhou.

Notably, half of China's top 10 motorcycle brands are based in Guangdong, collectively holding 30.6% of the country's total motorcycle sales. The province's motorcycle engines are mainly concentrated in two cities, namely Jiangmen in south‑central Guangdong and the provincial capital Guangzhou.
