Through efforts of two generations of breeding, this tiny grass traveled south from Lanzhou and broke through the soil in Guangzhou. It is named “Lanyin No.3” — the top grass for sports lawns in southern China, commanding an 80% market share. Highly resistant to trampling with rapid recovery, it has proven its durability in major events from the National Games to the Asian Games. This humble grass has nurtured a thriving industry and, more importantly, brought homegrown confidence to China's greenswards. Source: Guangzhou Daily English Author & Editor: Wen Junhua
