In the early hours of March 22, Beijing time, China's Zheng Qinwen made a winning debut in the second round of the WTA 1000 Miami Open. Facing former US Open champion and past tournament winner Sloane Stephens, Zheng won eight consecutive games in the middle of the match and cruised to a 6-3, 6-2 victory, defeating Stephens in straight sets.
