Guangzhou is rolling out a sweeping global investment campaign in 2026. What are Guangzhou's investment targets for 2026? How confident are foreign investors? And what gives the city its competitive edge? The following posters tell the story.
Investment Targets

According to the Investment Promotion Work Conference held on March 12 and the Guangzhou High-Quality Development Conference held on Feb 25, Guangzhou aims to attract no less than 10 projects at the 10-billion-yuan level, 100 projects at the billion-yuan level, and 1,000 projects at the 100-million-yuan level.
Foreign Investor Confidence

According to the AmCham South China report released on March 10, 45 percent of surveyed companies rank China as their top global investment destination, and 75 percent plan to reinvest in China in 2026. Guangzhou has been ranked as China's top investment destination for nine consecutive years in the survey. Many foreign companies report that their profitability in Guangdong—especially in Guangzhou—significantly outperforms other regions in China and beyond.
Guangzhou's Investment Advantage

As a national advanced manufacturing base, Guangzhou boasts six industrial clusters each exceeding 100 billion yuan in output and 10 service sectors each exceeding 100 billion yuan in revenue. With GDP exceeding 3.2 trillion yuan, a de facto population of 25 million, more than 7,600 medical and health institutions, and access to the vast Greater Bay Area market with a combined GDP of over 15 trillion yuan, Guangzhou presents its strongest investment appeal.
