On Feb 6, APEC delegates visited the Maling Flower Botanical Garden in Guangzhou, admiring vibrant plants, such as colorful bougainvillea. 

Mia Mikic, a delegate from New Zealand, was particularly impressed by its fantastic environment.“I love botanical gardens. And this is one of the best,”she remarked. 

Mia has long heard of the local Hero Flower. When she learned it is called Kapok flower, the city flower of Guangzhou and hasn't in full bloom yet, she expressed her eagerness to revisit Guangzhou to see the flower, “I have to come back then (to see the blooming Kapok flowers).”
