The Valentino Foundation announced on Monday the passing of renowned Italian fashion designer Valentino Garavani, founder of the legendary Valentino brand, in Rome at the age of 93.

Born in May 1932 in Voghera, Pavia Province, Italy, Valentino developed a strong interest in fashion from a young age and studied fashion design in both Italy and France. He founded the Valentino fashion brand early in his career, rising to become a globally celebrated designer whose work left a profound influence on the fashion industry in Italy and beyond.
