Guangzhou has released a plan to become a leading global hub in advanced manufacturing, targeting a doubling of its industrial added value by 2035.

The "Guangzhou Advanced Manufacturing Development Plan (2024–2035)" sets four key goals: building a world-class manufacturing base, a global hub for manufacturing innovation, a model city for digital-industrial integration, and a national leader in new industrialization.

By 2035, the city aims to solidify its position, establish a modern industrial system, and strengthen its role in global supply chains.

The plan outlines specific targets for key industries by 2035, such as:

Biomedicine and Health: Build a leading national hub with a 500-billion-yuan industry.

Smart Equipment and Robotics: Establish a major national base with a 300-billion-yuan scale.

Artificial Intelligence: Build a globally influential AI ecosystem with over 1,000 specialized models and more than 1,000 typical application scenarios.

Low-Altitude Economy and Aerospace: Grow into a global “Sky City” and a leading hub for commercial aerospace.

Bio-Manufacturing: Develop into a top national bio-manufacturing center.

Fashion and Consumer Goods: Build a trillion-yuan, globally competitive fashion industry cluster.
