A flag-raising ceremony was held at Tiananmen Square in Beijing to mark the first day of 2026. The Chinese national flag rose with the first rays of sunshine of the New Year. Crowds gathered at Tiananmen Square to watch this spectacular event and offer their best wishes for the country's prosperity.
