On January 1, 2026, "Teochew Youth Yingge, Dancing in the Bay Area"— the first Greater Bay Area University Yingge Performance Gathering organized by Guangdong Teochew Youth — was held in Guangzhou. The event brought together 11 Yingge teams from 11 universities across the Greater Bay Area, attracting intangible cultural heritage inheritors, representatives of overseas Chinese and Teochew youth, media, and public audiences.

As the first large-scale university Yingge showcase in the Greater Bay Area, this event created a platform for intangible cultural heritage transmission and youth exchange.

Through the establishment of the Guangdong Teochew Youth Yingge Cultural Heritage Center, Guangdong Teochew Youth aims to help more people understand the historical origins, artistic features, and cultural value of Yingge, experience the charm of China's excellent traditional culture while enhance cultural confidence and national pride.
