The 2025 "Charm of Guangdong" Roots-Seeking Winter Camp (Zhongshan Session), organized by the Guangdong Provincial Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese and hosted by the Zhongshan Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, officially opened on the morning of December 23 at the Museum of Dr.Sun Yat-sen. A total of 104 campers from 10 countries gathered in Zhongshan to begin a ten-day Lingnan cultural roots-seeking and study tour.

This winter camp is a joint activity of the 2025 Overseas Chinese (Zhongshan) Essay Competition. All participating students are outstanding winners selected from the preliminary rounds held in overseas competition zones. Centered on the theme "Hometown Memory · Youth Writing," the camp focuses on excellent traditional Chinese culture while incorporating Zhongshan's local cultural characteristics. It offers a variety of cultural learning courses and experiential activities.
