A world-class airport cluster is rapidly taking shape in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA), reaching a new high in regional infrastructure. This ambitious project is integrating multiple hubs into a single, cohesive, and efficient aviation network.
In November 2024, Hong Kong International Airport commissioned its new runway system, enabling three-runway operations for the first time—a upgrade set to increase hourly flight capacity by nearly 50%.
