The Guangzhou Cultural Industry Fair 2025 will run from December 19 to 21 at the Canton Fair Complex under the theme "Greater Bay Area Links the World, Cultural Tourism Creates the Future."

The three-day event will host the Digital Culture & Sports Gear Expo, the International Cultural Tourism Trade Show and the Guangzhou Film Industry Expo, linking culture, technology and trade to showcase Greater Bay Area innovations and foster global partnerships.

First held in 2017, the fair has become a national platform for cultural industries. In 2024,Guangzhou's cultural sector revenue hit 604 billion yuan, up 4 percent. The live-stream e-commerce sales of 517 billion yuan ranked first nationwide and more than 140,000 ticketed concerts placed the city in the top tier of China's live-music market.

Cultural value-added reached about 210 billion yuan, accounting for 6.44 percent of the GDP. The city has built three 100-billion-yuan clusters in anime and games, creative design, and cultural gear, making culture a key engine of urban growth.
