The 7th World Hakka Businessmen Convention opened on November 24 in Meizhou, Guangdong province, bringing together over 1,200 participants from 38 countries and regions, as well as nearly 27 Chinese provinces.

Under the theme of gathering Hakka businessmen worldwide for high-quality development, the convention saw participation from distinguished Hakka community leaders, prominent entrepreneurs, academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Engineering, and university presidents of Hakka heritage.

Guangdong is home to nearly 30 million overseas Chinese residing in over 160 countries and regions worldwide. Meizhou, renowned as the "Hometown of Overseas Chinese," boasts a robust diaspora network with more than 5 million overseas Chinese of Meizhou origin spread across 80-plus countries and regions.
Established in 2009 and upgraded to a provincial-level event in 2011, the convention is now held biennially in Meizhou. It has evolved into a key platform for fostering economic cooperation and strengthening community bonds among Hakka business leaders worldwide.
