On November 25, a 12-member Sri Lankan media delegation visited Guangzhou Daily. During the interactive session, representatives from both sides discussed trends in media digitalization and internationalization. At the most scenic balcony in Guangzhou—the podium terrace of Guangzhou Daily building—the Sri Lankan delegates admired the cityscape and captured memorable photos.
Jamila Husain, born in 1984, is the editor-in-chief of Daily Mirror and currently the youngest editor-in-chief of a national daily newspaper in Sri Lanka. She has expressed interest in collaborating with Guangzhou Daily. "You're so up to date with technology and catering to the people's needs on how you are give out the news to different platforms, online and on print as well. I know your digital platforms are being updated, and you have social media platforms on several areas and several countries. That's something I want to establish with Daily Mirror as well. So going forward, I want to work very closely with Guangzhou Daily on how we can learn from you in going digital and going into the world as well," she said.
