Guangzhou has recently surpassed 4.2 million market entities, climbing to the second-highest total among Chinese cities. This remarkable figure not only represents a "vote of confidence" from domestic and overseas investors in Guangzhou's growth prospects but also vividly demonstrates the city's commitment to fully energizing all types of market entities.

By the end of October 2025, Guangzhou's market entity "portfolio" had gained further strength — reaching a total of 4,217,400 registered entities. A year-on-year growth rate of 15.86% continues to lead the nation, propelling the city to the No. 2 spot nationally in total number of market entities. Over a 12-year span, Guangzhou has achieved leapfrog growth: exceeding 1 million in August 2013, reaching 2 million by September 2018, growing to 3 million in November 2021, and now scaling the new peak of 4.2 million.
