The 4th Pazhou Algorithm Competition is holding its finals and ecosystem empowerment conference on September 22 and 23 in Guangzhou's Pazhou area. 

The event has attracted over 8,100 teams from more than 30 countries and regions—including Singapore, the UK, the U.S., Canada, Japan, France, and Germany—making it the largest edition to date.

Building on the success of the previous three competitions, which drew over 10,000 teams from more than 40 countries across five continents, this year's event features five major tracks with 19 contest questions, which focus on cutting-edge fields such as AI large models, intelligent transportation, and smart manufacturing.

Among the 1,218 university teams, participants include representatives from top Chinese institutions such as Peking University and Tsinghua University, as well as over 140 teams from globally top-ranked universities including MIT, Harvard, Stanford, and Imperial College London.

Farshid Ahsan, a software engineer at Markopolo AI and core member of a team that advanced to the finals with an“AI + marketing”project, noted that the competition offers an ideal platform to showcase AI innovations in the Chinese market. He looks forward to exchanging ideas with leading teams in China's AI ecosystem.
