The 2025 Brazil Investment Promotion Conference took place in Guangzhou on August 4, drawing around 200 participants. The event, part of the “World Meets GZ” series promoting international economic and trade exchange, served as a key platform to explore new opportunities in Sino-Brazilian trade and cooperation. “Guangzhou is a very magnificent, surprising city... Every day you can discover different things. I enjoy very much being in Guangzhou,” said Alan Coelho de Sellos, Consul General of Brazil in Guangzhou, sharing his affection for the city. Pablo Gimenez Machado, Global Executive Vice President of leading Brazilian pulp producer Suzano, also attended the conference. “First, it is the people. People are very friendly, very welcoming. Second, it is the infrastructure and the business environment. And third, it's the weather and the food which is also amazing,” he remarked when asked about his impression of Guangzhou.
