Guangzhou won the honorable title of "City Award" at the 2025 Smart City Expo World Congress (SCEWC) China & Regional held in Shanghai on Sept 4.

Smart City Expo World Congress is the world’s biggest and most influential event on urban innovation. The "World Smart City Awards·China" was established as part of the event, with the "City Award" being the highest honor presented each year to only one city.
