A Pakistani think tank and media delegation visited Guangzhou from August 30 to 31. The delegation toured the Guangzhou Metro Museum and experienced rides on Lines 8 and 18.

Mian Imran Masood, head of the delegation and Chancellor of the University of South Asia, called it "a wonderful experience." He thanked Guangzhou Metro for its contribution to the Lahore Orange Line project. "We are truly thankful to China," he said.

The Guangzhou Metro holds special meaning for Pakistan. On October 25, 2020, the Lahore Orange Line, Pakistan's first metro line, operated by a Guangzhou Metro consortium, began official service, marking the start of Pakistan's "metro era."

The Orange Line is both a landmark project and an important public utility. It is widely recognized for improving travel efficiency and bringing convenience to Lahore people's daily life. The project is seen as a dream come true for modern, affordable urban mobility in Pakistan, made possible through Sino-Pakistani cooperation
