On August 23, Guangzhou's Tianhe District launched an intangible cultural heritage week in celebration of the upcoming Qixi Festival, also known as Chinese Valentine's Day, which falls on August 29 this year.

Under the theme“Qixi Tianhe, Passionate National Games,” the seven-day event blends traditional craftsmanship with modern sports culture. It features folk art displays, public performances, sports-themed interactive stations, and mass wedding ceremonies.

Seven venues across the city, including Tianhe Sports Center BRT Station, Olympic Sports Center, Grandview Mall, and the Guangzhou Qiqiao Culture Museum, have been designated as cultural and sports experience sites, offering visitors themed check-in activities.
