From July 28 to August 1, the US Southern California Chinese American Youth Water Polo Team visited Guangzhou. On July 30, they joined the Guangzhou Youth Water Polo Team for an exciting friendship match to greet the upcoming 15th National Games.
After the match, Adam Hewko, head coach of the U.S. team, praised the venue: "This pool is fantastic! It's a wonderful place for this competition coming up." Player Enzo Bryden shared his thoughts: "When we play with each other, we can learn to compete together and also when we compete, we can help each other grow." Enzo also happily mentioned that the players exchanged contact information and complimented each other's sportsmanship.
As a key host city for the 15th National Games, Guangzhou is actively preparing for the events. With around 100 days to go until China's 15th National Games, this water polo exchange carries special significance. Beyond skill and strategy, the matche strengthened ties between Guangzhou and Los Angeles, fostering deeper people-to-people connections.
