According to China Railway (CR), the 12th World Congress on High-Speed Rail, jointly hosted by CR and the International Union of Railways (UIC), opened on the morning of July 8, 2025, at the China National Convention Center in Beijing.

More than 2,000 participants attended the event, including government officials, diplomatic envoys, corporate executives, experts, and scholars from over 60 countries, regions, and international organizations, as well as domestic representatives.

Focusing on the theme “High-Speed Rail: Innovation and Development for a Better Life,” the congress aims to provide a platform for showcasing global high-speed rail achievements, facilitating technological exchanges, and promoting international industrial cooperation.
