On July 4 (local time), Pony.ai signed a strategic agreement with Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and unveiled its Robotaxi fleet. The partners will advance the commercialization of Robotaxis in Dubai, with the first vehicles beginning road tests in 2025—paving the way for fully driverless operations by 2026.

The collaboration aims to integrate L4 autonomous driving technology into Dubai’s multimodal transport network, improving urban mobility, easing congestion, and supporting sustainable transit. This aligns with Dubai’s goal for 25% of trips to be autonomous by 2030.
