Starting July 1 with the national railway schedule adjustment, Guangzhou Railway Station will undergo a historic shift—officially transitioning from conventional trains to a bullet train-dominated era. Post-adjustment, the station will operate 169 passenger trains daily, including 153 bullet trains (over 90% of total services), bringing more high-speed rail options to the city center.
The Guangzhou-Shenzhen intercity service will see a major boost, with 51 daily trips (34 originating from Guangzhou), up by 33 from before. Trains will run every 20–30 minutes from 6 AM to 9 PM, offering metro-like frequency for seamless travel. This upgrade significantly improves efficiency and convenience for commuters between Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and nearby cities.
