Andy Mantel, an American investment consultant living in China for 35 years, travelled from Hong Kong by high-speed rail to attend the World Athletics Relays Guangzhou 2025 on May 11. 

Over the decades, Mantel has witnessed many key moments in U.S.-China sports exchanges and believes that sports diplomacy is vital for global understanding.
