Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport ranked among the world's top 10 busiest airports in 2024, according to the highly anticipated annual list released by Airports Council International (ACI) on April 14. The airport secured the 10th position globally for aircraft movements with 512,004 takeoffs and landings recorded in 2024, a 12.3 percent year-on-year increase. It also claimed the 9th spot worldwide for cargo throughput, handling 2.3737 million metric tons of freight during the same period, which marks a significant 16.9 percent growth compared to the previous year.
