This year, Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport has launched, resumed or increased frequency on nine international passenger routes, including Surabaya, Osaka and Bangkok, adding two new international destinations. On March 30, the airport opened three direct international routes—Almaty, Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi to Guangzhou—in a single day.

As of March 31, the airport handled over 4 million inbound and outbound passengers in Q1 2025, marking a 24.5% year-on-year increase.
