As of March 31, Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport had handled over four million inbound and outbound passenger visits in Q1 2025, a year-on-year increase of 24.5 percent. This milestone was achieved 20 days earlier than in 2024, making it China's second air port this year to reach the 4-million mark.
According to the Baiyun Immigration Inspection Station, the airport saw foreign travelers entries/exits totaling 1.265 million in Q1, up 45.7 percent year-on-year. This number accounted for 33.7 percent of the total passengers entries/exits, the highest proportion among China's major international airports.
