Recently, the pre-station works of the Pearl River Delta Hub Airport, one section of the newly-built Guangzhou-Zhanjiang High-speed Railway, have been completed.The completion signals that all main structures of the railway are under construction.

The station, with a total area of approximately 220,000 m², is beginning to take shape. The construction of a 4E-class airport above ground and the integration of high-speed railway, intercity railway and subway underground position the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) as a new comprehensive transportation hub.
