On March 10, the 2025 Boluodan Temple Fair kicked off in Guangzhou's Huangpu district, featuring spectacular opening performances like sea worship rituals, dragon dance, lion dance, and martial arts.

The opening ceremony of the 2025 Boluodan Temple Fair is held at the Nanhai God Temple in Guangzhou on Mar 10. 

The Boluodan Temple Fair, with a history spanning over 1,400 years, is one of the largest cultural events in South China, celebrating the legendary birthday of the South China Sea God. It was listed as a national intangible cultural heritage of China in 2011.

During the five-day event, nearly 90 cultural activities will take place.

A craft market and a food street with 120 stalls have been set up, allowing visitors to purchase unique intangible cultural heritage handicrafts and savor a variety of delicacies from across the country.
