Kangxi and Louis XIV, a docu-drama depicting the historical exchange between China and France 300 years ago, premiered in Guangzhou on May 23, after its first international screening at the 10th edition of Chinese Film Festival in France (FCCF) in Paris earlier this month.

As the starting point of the ancient Maritime Silk Road, Guangzhou has long served as a bridge between China and France. This Sino-French co-produced docu-drama is an excellent example of the friendly cooperation between the two countries, said Sylvain Fourriere, French consul general in Guangzhou, at the premiere.
