Located in the subtropical region, Guangdong enjoys a mild climate and abundant rainfall, making it suitable for sericulture and silk production. With a history of over 2,000 years, Guangdong's silkworm and silk industry has flourished, making it one of China's renowned silk producers. Various factors have contributed to the prosperous development of embroidery and textile crafts in Guangdong. In 2006, Yue embroidery was included in the first batch of China's intangible cultural heritage list. Today, as Yue embroidery has combined with various art forms and mediums, it breaks out of frames to be seen and touched by the public and revitalizes itself.
