Passengers can try the new payment method through the e-CNY mobile app. For now, only digital yuan wallets created with cards of the China Construction Bank support payment on these routes.

For those set up digital yuan wallets with cards of the Bank of Communications and the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, they are now able to recharge their Yang Cheng Tong cards (Guangzhou public transportation smart cards) through the Yang Cheng Tong app using digital yuan.
