Weighing in tons, shield tunneling machine varies from dozens of meters to over 300 meters in length.

It used to involve hundreds of workers to complete the construction of a tunnel, but now with the help of the shield machine, only dozens of workers will do. 

In 2008, “CREC No. 1”, the first China-made composite EPB machine with independent intellectual property rights, was successfully rolled off the production line.

In recent years, shield machine have applied to quite a few key engineering constructions like the South-to-North Water Diversion Project, Beijing Daxing International Airport, GBA transportation hub cluster, etc. 

Nowadays, the family of Chinese-made shield tunneling machines is rich in both series and sizes, and still expanding its size range, refreshing China's height in world's TBM field.  

The Chinese-made shield machines have been exported to over 30 countries and regions around the world.
