The Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport has released an array of guidelines to prevent possible spread of COVID-19 pandemic.
Starting from May 3, all the passengers setting off from the airport are suggested to allow sufficient time for a series of inspections. They need to have their body temperature checked, present negative nucleic acid test results taken within 48 hours and green health codes. For those taking domestic passenger flights, a free on-site antigen test and identity verification are also mandatory.
Only several gates remain open to passengers in the airport, including gate Nos. 4, 20 and 29 of Terminal 1, as well as gate No. 46 of Terminal 2. Deplaned travelers of domestic flights will reach Area B of Terminal 1 after arriving at the airport.
In order to better prevent virus transmission, a number of airport services are suspended, such as baggage deposit and packaging, lost and found, etc. Smoking lounges and most shops in the terminals of the airport are also closed.
For first-class passengers of China Eastern Airlines, Shenzhen Airlines and Hainan Airlines, the lounges have been relocated to those of Air China which situated at West 1 airside concourse of Terminal 1.
All the parking lots but P3, P5 and P8 are not open to the public, neither are the Airport South(机场南)and exit B of Airport North(机场北)subway stations.
As for travelers taking subway to the airport for flights, they need to get off at Airport North Metro Station to transfer to shuttle buses, which will call at gate No. 42 of Terminal 2 and gate No. 10 of Terminal 1.
Travelers are asked to wear masks at all times during the flight.
