1. A peony exhibition is being held at the South China Botanical Garden (华南植物园) in Guangzhou and will last till March 8. Over 60 varieties of peony from both home and abroad are on display, covering nine colors. Women can enjoy a discount of 50 percent on tickets for entrance to the garden and the greenhouse on March 8, the International Women's Day.

2. A tulip exhibition is ongoing at the Guangzhou Yuntai Garden (云台花园) and will run through March 8, showcasing over 100,000 tulips.

3. Covering over 260,000 square meters, the 37-year-old Nanhu Amusement Park (南湖游乐园) in Baiyun district will be transformed into a theme park featuring e-sports, immersive games and nighttime travel this year.

4. Starting from March 5, the service time of Guangzhou Metro Line 1 will be shortened by 1.5 hours on weekends and holidays for equipment upgrade and renovation, which will last till April 23. Shuttle buses will be provided to transport passengers along the stations of Metro Line 1 (between Xilang and Tianhe Sports Center).
