1. Travel agencies in Guangdong province temporarily suspended flight and hotel bookings as well as tours related to cross-provincial travel on December 7, according to a notice issued by local authorities. The services will not resume untill the province clears all medium and high-risk areas for COVID-19.

2. Due to the current COVID-19 epidemic situation, the 2021 Guangzhou Huangpu Marathon, which is scheduled to be held on December 26, is postponed until further notice.

3. Guangzhou's Baiyun district identified one new COVID-19 case from abroad on December 7. The patient tested positive for the virus during self-quarantine at home.


4. After 41 months of construction, the expansion project of Luoxi Bridge (洛溪大桥) in Guangzhou had been completed and the bridge opened to traffic on December 6.

5. Guangzhou is mulling plans to build a tunnel running from the east and west sides of the Baiyun Mountaion, which will cut the traffic time between Baiyun and Tianhe districts to only 5 minutes, according to a tender invitation for conducting feasibility study for the project published by the government.

6. Various kinds of winter flowers are now in full bloom in the South China Botanical Garden in Guangzhou.
