1. Guangzhou's Baiyun district will open 50 pocket gardens to the public by the end of this year, creating new leisure space in the city. The gardens will be equipped with walking paths, benches and sports facilities and decorated with sculptures. Thirty-eight such parks have been built since May.

2. This autumn semester, 134 schools are newly opened in Guangzhou, providing a total enrollment quota of over 100,000 students. The new schools include the Zhixin High School in Tianhe district(执信中学天河校区), the Tsinghua University High School (Wanqu School)(清华附中湾区学校)and the Guangdong Guangya High School in Huadu district(广东广雅中学花都校区).

3. From September 1, drivers in 28 cities of China, including Guangzhou and Shenzhen, can apply for an electronic driving license through the 12123 mobile app developed by the Department of Traffic Management under the Ministry of Public Security.

4. Guangzhou plans to build a high-quality park in the west Pazhou area, an emerging central business area in Haizhu district. Construction of the park includes landscape lighting, coffee shops, tea houses, bus stops, underground commercial space and building complex with distinct features.

5. The Guangzhou Municipal Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau on Tuesday issued a notice on setting benchmark prices for second-hand housing transactions and announced the referential trading prices for second-hand homes in 96 residential communities across the city.
