1. Guangzhou urges people who had taken the flights CZ3382 and CZ6322 on July 25 and those coming to the city from medium- and high risk areas for COVID-19 transmission, such as, Zhangjiajie (张家界) and Fenghuang Ancient Town (凤凰古城) in Hunan province, to immediately report to their residential committee and work places.


2. A draft amendment to China's Population and Family Planning Law will be submitted to an upcoming session of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), China's top legislature, for its deliberation, NPC sources said on July 27.

3. Starting from August 1, parking or charging e-bikes in public hallways, evacuation walkways, stairwells and exits of tall residential buildings will be prohibited, according to China's latest regulations on fire safety management. Those violating the regulation will face a fine of 10,000 yuan.


4. The first Global Consumer Electronics Expo (GCE) will be held from December 10 to 12 at the Canton Fair Complex in Guangzhou. Covering an area of more than 100,000 square meters, the expo is expected to attract more than 1,300 enterprises to participate in eight pavilions.

5. Guangzhou Metro have added three new trains to handle passenger traffic of Line 6 during the morning rush hour since July 26, bringing the total number of trains serving the line to 58. The minimum interval between trains during the morning rush hour has also reduced to 2 minutes and 19 seconds.
