Five neighborhoods in Fangcun area of Guangzhou's Liwan district have adjusted their lockdown measures, allowing residents to leave or enter their residential building with valid documentation.


One among the blocks, Jinxin Building located at the No.691 Renmin Beilu, Jinhua Street (荔湾区金花街人民北路691号的金信大厦), was lifted from closed-off management on Sunday (June 20).



The other four neighborhoods having adjusted their restrictions include: 

No. 2 Building of Guanggang New Town Jinmaofu (白鹤洞街广钢新城的金茂府第2栋), No. 4 Building of the One Blossom Cove D Area (中海花湾D区第4栋), No. 5 Building of Poly Haide Residence (保利海德公馆第5栋), all of which located in the Baihedong Street; as well as the six, seven and eight association of Hainan Economic Association in Zhongnan Street (中南街的海南经济联社六、七、八经济社).


Residents living in the above-mentioned four areas are now allowed to leave or enter their residential buildings with valid documentation. However, they cannot leave the Fangcun area, nor visitors can enter. Public places and enclosed commercial venues like cinemas, theaters, KTVs and bars will still suspend services.



Areas in Yuexiu, Nansha downgrade risk level


Two areas in Guangzhou, one each in Yuexiu and Nansha districts, have been downgraded to low-risk for COVID-19 transmission as of yesterday, according to the local government.


They were the No. 398 Huifu Xilu, Xianhu Community, Beijing Sub-district (北京街道仙湖社区惠福西路398号) in Yuexiu district, and the Jia'an Garden, Zhujiang Sub-district in Nansha district (南沙区珠江街道嘉安花园).


Guangzhou reported no new confirmed or asymptomatic local COVID-19 cases yesterday.

Dongguan city adds two medium-risk areas, conducts city-wide testing


The No. 2 Building of Baiyueshangcheng Community, Nancheng sub-district (南城街道百悦尚城小区2栋) in Dongguan city of Guangdong province was upgraded to be a medium-risk area for COVID-19 outbreak on June 19, according to the city's epidemic prevention and control headquarters.


The move came after a new confirmed COVID-19 case was reported on June 18 in a residential quarter in the district. The new case, surnamed Li, is the wife of a COVID-19 patient, surnamed Xiao, earlier confirmed in Shenzhen on June 18.


On June 20, the city reported another new confirmed case, of a close contact of Li. The 19-year-old patient, surnamed Jia, is a boarding student of the Dongguan Campus of Guangzhou Xinhua Univeristy (广州新华学院东莞校区) in Machong Town (麻涌镇). 


Machong Town has entered into closed-off management as of June 20, with no leaving allowed. The campus, also, is marked as a medium-risk area for COVID-19 transmission today.  


The city of Dongguan has started city-wide nucleic acid testing for all residents, and meanwhile, inoculation of COVID-19 vaccines in the city will be suspended from today.
