Guangzhou elevated the COVID-19 risk levels in five areas in the city within the past 24 hours, marking one residential community each in Yuexiu and Nansha districts and three others in Haizhu district as medium-risk, according to the city's health commission.

The Jinlong Huixinge Community at Longjin Sub-district of Liwan（龙津街锦龙汇鑫阁）, where the city reported its first confirmed case of the recent COVID-19 outbreak, downgraded its risk level from medium to low on June 4. Yuexiu district suspends dine-in services and closes all indoor public venues starting today (June 7).
Seven more metro stations shut down
Guangzhou Metro decided to temporarily suspend services of seven stations starting today, which include the Longxi（龙溪站）and Shachong（沙涌站）stations of Guangfo Line, Xilang Station（西塱站）, which connects Guangfo Line and Line 1, Kengkou, Fangcun and Huadiwan stations（坑口，芳村和花地湾站）of Line 1, as well as the Jiaokou Station（滘口）of Line 5. However, passengers can still transfer inside the Xilang Station.
Jushu（菊树站）and Hedong（鹤洞站）stations of Guangfo Line also have been shut down from June 2.

Nansha district resumed all metro, bus, ferry and other public transportation services on late June 6.

Three areas in Panyu under lockdown
Panyu district put three areas under strict closed-off management and several blocks under partial lockdown on June 7. Residents in the closed-off areas must stay at home and people can only enter the partially locked down areas, with no exit allowed.
